t is essential that you spend your time running your business.  You must provide exceptional service to your customers and products they can rely on.  That's what keeps them coming back, and sending their friends and family to receive the same quality they get from you.  If you have employees,  they need you to lead them to provide that same level of service and quality the customers have come to expect from your business.

That being said, keeping the records is still a neccessary function and must be done accurately.  The reason for this is really twofold.  First, obviously, the taxing authorities require that we provide accurate reporting for the purposes of calculating the proper amount of taxes owed.  These include income tax, payroll tax, and sales tax.  The second reason, however, is even more important than the first.  The reports that are generated as a result of keeping accurate records are actually the business' "Report Card."  The information contained in these reports provides an accurate picture of how the business is performing, both in the moment and over time.  

If you have employees, payroll is also a big headache for the small business owner.  If you are not already using an outside service, I will set up and oversee your payroll function to get your empoyees paid, and make sure your payroll tax deposits are made on time, the quarterly tax returns are filed, and W-2's are timely prepared and distributed.
